May Incentives Available Early?
All,
Just wanted to double check here. If you go to m.bmwusa.com and then on special offers it shows all kinds of new option allowances available. I haven't heard of most of them yet, so I assume these are new for May. Very interesting: Z4 has now $2,500 option allowance. I wish I had clairvoyance capabilities. I will pick up a 128 conv in Munich on June 1. With the new option allowance, the Z4 would have been within $5/month lease payment. What a bummer - almost wish I could not only change options on a car prior to building but the car altogether.... EDIT: Looks like they reverted back to the old "specials". In any case, I did a printout (attached). Let's wait and see what tomorrow brings. Last edited by KlausT; 04-30-2012 at 06:36 PM. |

$10,000 total in credits on the 7 hybrid...wonder what the lease rates will be! Can you do the $7,500 eco credit, $2,500 option allowance and $1,000 mission to drive together?

Fine print says option allowance not available in central region. Wonder what states that includes?

I am going to pickup my car today/tomorrow but I am trying to figure out the new MF and residuals for F30 335i Sedan. When I try and back calculate them from the BMW website I am getting much lower MF's........

My CA has not sold a single Z4 since July of last year (my car), and this is in sunny AZ. I expect some sweet lease deals soon, going to Europe for few weeks in late summer

Wouldn't get my hopes up too much - so far it feels BMW discriminates incentives according to sales numbers (makes a lot of sense). The new 3 sells well without incentives, that's probably why there is no option allowance for it...
But who knows, maybe the MF/residuals changed for the better even for the new 3? Sponsors, help us out here! :-) |

I agree. I tried to back out of the numbers on the site as well and get some crazy low MFs.

Without knowing the numbers, keep in mind that the lease specials take into account any published incentives (like option credits), and do involve some discount from MSRP from the dealer (as noted in the terms by "Dealer contribution may affect terms").
So you shouldn't use MSRP as the selling price to back out the MF, but rather the discounted selling price that is used to obtain the monthly figure. Unfortunately that amount is not published.

I used the listed prices and even added some to the down payment and the MF still looks like it dropped.

I also just tried to back out the MF from a few offers. I tried both 328i and 335i (no allowance) and the 128i ($500 allowance). I used the April residual values for 10k/yr 36M leases.
Here is what I back out for the MFs: 128i: 0.00145 328i: 0.00148 335i: 0.00144 This looks like the new MF is 0.00145. I'd love to see that! Of course, I might have messed up the calculation. Would be great if someone else could share their results as well. |

Just saw the May programs from my local dealer tonight and for the 328i they remained the same as April. 36 months, 15k miles = .0019 and 62% RV.

Greg, I ordered my Z4 in March and I am picking it up in May ... am I eligible for the 2500 options credit (lease)?

First offer that I got from several dealers when shopping for a new 328i was 4% of MSRP. If you use that figure, along with the $725 acq fee, plus $2750 down payment, you can get close to their numbers. I used a 65% residual since it is a 10k lease and a mf of .0019. Selling price of $37,800 (~4% of MSRP) and get a payment before taxes of $402.

Probably best to give Greg, Jon and the other sponsors another day and then learn all the details. |
