Sensor is Brake Duct - Passenger side

Hi,
There's a sensor, looks like a disk a bit larger than a quarter, in the passenger side brake duct on my 95 M3. On the driver's side is the outside temp sensor, but what's the sensor in the right side brake duct?
Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated. A local body shop glued the sensor to the brake duct but didn't fasten the brake duct properly, so now, all I have is a connector and a new brake duct with a hole in it.
Thx,
Stu

Heated windshield washer nozzle temperature sensor. Below a certain temperature range, the car will heat the washer nozzles.

I just had 2 wires hanging there. I didn't know what they went to. Glad I know now from this thread, but since I live in NC and the average winter temp in my town is 53 degress f. I am not going to worry about it.
