1995 325i a few questions

Hey guys i just joined over here but i've been on e46 for awhile now. My girlfriend drives a 1993 325i and if the lights in the instrument cluster mean the same thing as in my car which i bet they do she needs new brake pads. Is it the same as my e46 where you also have to replace the wear sensors? Also the paint on her trunk is looking really really bad sun damage and what not. Where can i find a new lid? Thanks for any help it is greatly appreciated.

i dont think you need to replace the wear sensor for the pads, i changed my brakes not to long ago and the sensor looked pretty good. i left it on there and the sensor light went away. but then again it is a good this to just change them. there only about $30 at an autopart stor.. Autozone, Kraigen, Pepboys etc... check the sensor 1st, if it looks in good condition then just leave it.

Alright thanks. What kind of brake pads do you use for your e36 and where do you get them. Lastly how about a DIY?
