treo 700p

Has anyone paired up the treo 700p with their 3series? I don't want to order a new smartphone if it won't connect with my bluetooth.

It'd probably would pair, voice would work but not sure about phonebook transfer and other SMS or caller ID would work or not.

Good question. I'm looking to upgrade my 650. Anyone?

It would probably work the same way your 650.

MotoQ?

same kind of question...with the E90 sync with a MotoQ.

Also, there is some smartphone software called Co-Pilot (turns the Q into a GPS unit)...my 330i does not have the Nav...but does it have a GPS receiver installed? Otherwise I have to buy the Co-Pilot GPS receiver and bluetooth it to the Q.

Just curious. When I bought my E90 in Oct, the only Sprint phone I could buy was the 650. When I went to buy it in Nov, the people in the local Sprint store told me to wait a few weeks because a newer phone would be available. I am glad I did not wait.

Because the 650 was so much different than the 600, I would not want to pass judgement on the 700 and whether or not it works with the E90 telematics unit. However, beyond EV-DO, there isn't anything that has me wanting to run out and get a new phone. I am quite happy with my 650.

If you have iDrive, I would definitely want to know that BMW supports the phone or you will be greatly upset that you would not be able to transfer your speed dial list and not be able to use voice recognition.

I've personally paired a moto E815 no problem with a E90 (duh - supported phone). T650 listed as supported on BMW's website with latest software update. Read on qusers.com from a poster that had great success pairing a new Q with his E60. In fact, was able to get complete contact/phonebook access from the car as opposed to just the speed dial entries as with the T650.

EV-DO
More memory (128mb)
1.3 megapixel camera (still lacks flash)
Enhanced email, better exchange server support
Faster browser
and more.

Really not much to rave about, I'm up for an equipment upgrade and love new technology.

Yep. And there are downsides too - at least (1) screwed-up buttons compared to the 650 - the green phone button replaced by 2 separate ones and the menu btn moved to the bottom make for awkward operation, and (2) if you're with Sprint your cost for unlimited data goes up, and no free DUN anymore. At least it doesn't have some of the 700w shortcomings - the low screen resolution and the 5-way btn not functioning in half the apps

Screen resolution on the 700 took a step backward I hear...

Got it!

I finally got my Treo 700p from Verizon today. I was able to pair it with my 330xi. However, it can only load contacts from my Speed Dial. Nevertheless, I'm happy with what I have and it also has very good resolution (better than the Audiovox I tried out last month).

its is the 700W that has a lower res than the 650. Windows mobile doesn't support the res of the 650/700P

Just curious, why didn't you go with the 700w?
