looks like some good photo doctoring...doesn't match the spyshots that have been released...plus its way too high off the ground.

call me crazy but for some reason I'm not very fond of it. E46 still rules in my book. BMW needs to get their good designs back, or ill be in a late model E46 for quite a while

More than likely you will find the E46 more fun to drive as well.
What I have noticed with the improvements in cars over the years is the performance gains are further impacted by traction control. As in the case of the 645ci, M5/6, or new M3, BMW has added so much horsepower to very light cars. As a result, the tires easily lose traction without stability control. More and more over the years I notice the interference becoming more annoying. The only option is bigger/wider tires and heavier cars. In order for any of these cars to perform well, it seems to me they must be on asphalt surfaces and not concrete. Unfortunately most roads are concrete. So yeah they claim fast 0-60 times, but they are quite unrealistic on most roads anymore.

Must be a bad pic, cause I'm not feeling it either.

With regards to the picture, it might be a PS one or a different body styling- who knows, till we see the final version. |

I was thinking PS when I looked at it too. The wheels and side crease with shadowing look a little off to me. Plus I didn’t think any M3 (even on closed tracks) have been completely undisguised this soon before release. But I’m no expert so it could just be me.
The thing that really bothers me about that page is the article states the M3 was caught in testing in California while the pic clearly shows euro front plates. Could this be another fake M3 spotting? |

Those are some of the worst CGI pictures I've seen. Mark my words the E90/2 M3 will look nothing like that.

I am ready to trade my 330 in for a four door M3 -- M4.

Bring it on!
Now that the M3 has stepped into the big boy category (V8), I am now interested.
I like the 335i look and I am sure to be pleased with the Brand New M3, 2 or 4 doors and oh yeah, Convertible.

Those pics or fakes all look too uninspiring. I want a much more muscular look than my existing Sport e90. I'm only "feeling" the rear tire width and it looks absurd in that last image, as in "hey that looks wider than a Corvette tire" (must be a fake, a tire that wide should be a slick)
