WinXP: fonts list in the Display Properties

Hello

Trying to change the menu and icon fonts to a favorite font of mine. But when I Right-Click on Desktop and go to ->Appearance-->Advanced Tab and choose Menu or Icon in the drop-down menu, I have a small list of fonts, but my choice of font is not listed there.

Does anyone know where Windows keeps this list? How can I update the list and add my favorite font there?

Dave, there's indeed a fonts folder and it's in C:/Windows/Fonts, but the list in the Display Properties contains only a little fraction of the actual fonts that are installed in the system. Actually what I'm looking for is the place where Windows is storing these small list of fonts that appears when I go to the Display Properties to change the font under the icons and on the menu.

Unfortunately no. It leads me to the same folder (C:/Windows/fonts)

Do a search for *.ttf (true type font). This should tell you were most of the fonts reside. I believe they are usually in \winnt\fonts or \winnt\system32 (or system).

The *.ttf should work for you though.. at least tell you the folder names.

I already know where the fonts reside. But I can't see them all in the Display Properties. I attached two pics below. There are maybe 30 fonts there, but I have over 200 fonts in the C:/Windows/fonts folder. Quite confusing...
