Not great but I guess it will grow on me. Maybe Chris Bangle designed the Z4 so ugly so that prospective buyers will see these cars on the dealer lots and decide the 5 and 7 series aren't that bad in comparison.

LOL. Nice way of bringing your point home. The only reason I said that it would grow on me is the fact that I hated the e39 when it first came out. It took about a year for me to adjust to it.

The headlights are once again Photoshopped. But with that exception, I do like the design quite a bit.
Now, if only they'd give up on Sirius and install XM...

ok I was a little harsh. We could all goin on one and then blow it up at a rice fest LOL.
Seriously, BMW is going in the wrong direction. It all started with the Z8, a beautiful car with no real direction. The current M3 is the last of the real BMW's. I see BMW loosing market share until they get back to making performance cars that have timelsss beauty and class. The new 7 is a pure techno gadget, trend of the day. BMW has force fed them to the public and the marketing department has really taken it on the chin (that BS commercial was horid). I have seen a bunch used on lots already. BMW started a horse race a decade ago and I am afraid the competition has finally caught up. If I am forced to drive an SMG it wont be a BMW.

I was very excited about my first BMW purchase....2003 530i. I guess I should be glad that I bought one now rather than a few years from now. What the heck is up with the new designs....looks like a glorified Lincoln LS
 I agree, BMW may lose out in the long run with these new crappy designs....how disappointing to one of the finest car making companies in this whole wonderful world   My first post here....been hanging in the Autopia forum for a few months. Look forward to more here.
