What brand bike mount? Part numbers would be super helpful, I'm having a rough time finding what I need to fit the stock rack on my car...

Me having a little fun: http://www.gotbluemilk.com/web110702b/24/index.html

Not sure why the silver mazda is in there. Some of the pics show my friend on my ass in his mini, definitely an easier car to drive fast...

The frightening thing is my two mates in a 1989 1.0 VW Polo taking the photo were actually going the wrong way at about 70 mph!

I'm no expert, but I think your strut tower reinforcement plates may be on upside down?

I believe mine are flipped compared to yours AND between the strut mount and body, so just under that sheet metal you have them on...

Dude, the shock tower reinforcement plates are supposed to be installed on top of the upper strut bearings (underneath the shock towers - you have to remove the front struts to install them). Get those off of there and install correctly immediately. When doing work on your car, it's obviously prudent to read the service manual. You may have bent the plates beyond usability by installing them upside-down on top of the shock towers...

The reinforcement plates are item #15 in this diagram.

I already see where my checks will be going..... oh well it IS a project car right?

But one thing i dont really understand is that if the plate goes on top of the strut mount under the tower, what makes being on top of the tower bad?
I know it has to be fixed but my mind is currently blown by this

and while on the topic the reinforcment plate of the shock mounts go on Top of the tower right?
