All with WA license plates, too. I bet those guys are local to me. Judging by the grass, it was probably taken at one of our Concours d'Elegance shows.

Here's a quick one I shot of my car today while running errands.

That one that you posted the other day?

For the price it's tempting to pick up a beater e36 and drop one of those in.

H&R Sports lower it 1.5" front / 1.0" rear. Reinforcement plates will not noticeably increase ride height, since they're quite thin. I've got the exact same suspension setup on my car.

Um, what kind of reinforcement plates did you use that are .65 inches thick?! BMW front strut reinforcement plates are only as thick as a fairly thin piece of sheet metal:

Maybe you mean camber plates?

Camber plates are used in lieu of the standard upper strut mounts, so they are designed to not add any more height than the stock units. In other words, you don't sandwich camber plates on top of standard strut mounts.

That's how all the camber plates I've seen are configured:

Camber plates are the strut mounts, so you don't use camber plates and stock strut mounts. It's either/or, but not both.

speaking of camber. I looked at my tires today... and they're NOT looking very well at all for 3,000 miles of use.

You must need an alignment. Excess camber will cause uneven wear, but the real killer of tires is toe angle. If you've only driven 3k miles on your tires and you're seeing serious wear, I'd suspect the toe being off more than I'd suspect your camber settings.

Get your toe pulled out to 0 in the front. And have just a little bit of toe-in for the rear.

That's what I got and it has great response without wandering too bad on the highway.

I'm sure it's a little of both. The front tires are losing the inner tread block, and the left rear tire is completely bald on the inner tread block. The right rear is following but not nearly as bad.
