Hey everyone, cars are looking great! I joined recently but I haven't gotten around to taking any pictures yet. Soon though!

Also quick question, the wheel well linings are broken on my car and rub whenever I turn hard, are those totally necessary? As in, can I take them off until I get replacements? Or will this miss something up?

Thanks!

They support the brake cooling duct and prevent water from getting slung into the engine bay and on the back of the foglights. That being said, when mine broke when I was still a poor college senior, so i cut out the broken bits with a utility knife and went commando for 18 months until i finally replaced it and the car seems no worse for wear.

So yes, they do serve some purpose, but you can survive without it.

My fog lights are dead for now anyways
So I guess I'll remove them so it stops that awful rubbing sound every time I turn. Thanks for the answer!

The other reason you want fender liners is to prevent rocks from chipping your metal wheel wells. If they get all chipped up, the bare metal will become exposed and more susceptible to corrosion.

My new 323i! Sorry for crappy cell phone pictures, but its all I have for now. I'm eventually going to get the euro headlights, smoked corners and side markers, and the depo tails. Just ordered all the parts for the coolant system overhaul so I don't have the money for lights yet.

Also going to get a new front bumper and get it painted to match.

Sorry for 4x4 status, by the way. Raceland coilovers are down the line!

I actually found a way to "fix" them until I can get a new bumoer and liners. It's just being held out of the way pretty much but no more rubbing, and they're still there to protect stuff
