What I don't understand is how people pay boat loads of money for a car and never drive it around. It's like flushing money down the drain.
My dad bought a 2006 E550 Mercedes and he barely drives it at all!

Fine with me. I rely upon those people to absorb the initial depreciation. My mom bought a new car and she only drives it maybe 2-3k miles per year, if that.

Would you buy a 150k car and daily drive it?

I know I wouldn't... Cause I know at some point I would like to sell that car and get as much money back possible...

I'd drive the wheels off a $150k car. If you're able to buy a $150k car in the first place, you should be in a financial position where you don't have to care about depreciation/resale value, and should just enjoy the damn thing as much as possible.

If you look at it in a rich man's point of view then I completely understand that, but if you look at it in my perspective I would keep that car immaculate, well maintained and brand new...

Right, which is why nobody should buy a $150k car unless they can afford it. There's no point in buying something you can't enjoy because you can't afford to enjoy it. Only exception to that rule is if you're investing in something which appreciates, rather than depreciates.

So my car finally quit doing this crap after I realized the fitting on the new radiator was too small for the OEM hose and patched it up with an extra clamp:

Which gave me a little time to fix my exhaust rattle, check out the leak on the E39 and give them both a wash. I haven't see our little stable pulled together since we moved into our new place, so I did a little photoshoot.

Edit: Forgot this one.

Thanks :-) 3/4 have 3 pedals too, but the wall of torque definitely helps me forget about the missing one in the E39 when I drive it. I need to sort out a cooling leak on it pretty soon, probably my next project.

bad to worst to good to trying to make it great

The pics are in order from then to now

After I move, I'm going to do a complete overhaul on the interior, new fenders, bumpers, and buying a another m50 engine.

I'm going to dip the car in matte white (something like this) and leave the folding top, grill, moldings, and lights black. The interior will be all black with white rear speaker covers and white on just the center part of the front door panels(not sure wat it is called). I've already replaced all the speakers with kenwood speakers. No I'm not turning it into a "ricer", I don't want my car to be, just normal, like fresh off the lot. That's not my thing, I like to take things to a different level. Like the computers a build, style is a choice.
