Yeah, that little insert is only held on by double-sided tape. You can peel it off and put the standard one on very easily.

Its not my favorite thing. Maybe in a place or two where it might look classy, but every bit of aftermarket interior seems to have M or M3 on it (Pedals, floormats, e-brake levers, etc).

I just want clean brushed aluminum

Yeah, I hear ya. My car was never touched by the ///M boffins, so I'll never feel compelled to put any ///M badges on it. Jesse gets a pass because he has lots of ///M hardware.

Well I like the wide trim on exterior, also I have the vaders with it...also the zhp knob...donno I like the stripes. My floor mats do say m3 on them along with the door sills ( only reason I have those is b/c my mats were crap and the mats and door sills were free with my purchase of the m3 front brakes )
EDIT: Thanks Karl, I will never have a ///M3 emblem on my exterior tho (again I should say, i did when I was a noob )

I agree, I know how you feel.

I love the M hardware (trim, bumpers, skirts, knob, etc etc) and I feel like the aftermarket only caters to M3 owners or M3 wannabe owners. Impossible to find non-M branded carpet mats, for example.

Tell me about it, unless you want to spend almost $120 on floor mats, this guy don't. Give me credit guys, I have my 318is deck lid emblem on.

Whether or not the tripod makes a difference in terms of image sharpness depends entirely on the shutter speed you use. At "normal" (i.e. non-telephoto) focal lengths, anything over 1/60th of a second should be fine without a tripod. When you start getting into slower shutter speeds, or longer focal lengths, a tripod becomes increasingly necessary.

its a point and shoot camera and I'm happy with the pictures it takes.

Are the M colors universally recognized as M or as BMW? I'm in love with the colors when used as accents (i.e. stitching) and Im considering getting getting new boots (shift and ebrake) as well as my arm rest cover done in the tri color stitching.

THE ///M colors are recognized as ///M GmbH only, not BMW. BMW's colors are just the blue & white.

Lookin' great, Frank! I think at this point it's safe to say that Frank is to wheels what Chad is to cars.
