I did that to a guy a few days ago....he drove up to the post office in a stunning 330i (frost black or some such exotic color), and I said "Nice E90". He said "no, it's a 2009 330i". I said "oh, my bad".

It's going to be neither I'm afraid. I'll be on two wheels this year.

This is of 80. Some random stop somewhere in between truckee and auburn. The elevation messes with my head so bad the whole drive back is somewhat of a blur. I remember a couple times looking at mountains and they would start moving around. Glad I made it back safe.

Oh, wow! Sorry to hear about the elevation change thing, I can only imagine how miserable that must have been. What is that, like a 6 or 7 thousand foot change??? (I forget how high Donner summit is, but know Auburn is right around 1k) Actually, I just made the drive up to Reno and back a couple of months ago. Sold the Z4 and picked up a VFR800 Honda Interceptor. It's so much more fun to drive, especially on the ride down the hill.

Not really too sure what it is. I have been to a few other places with similar elevation changes in the country but every time I go to Tahoe it just happens. The time before this I felt so bad, I had to pass up an open bar and free food because of it. If that can give you an idea of what it's like.

I'll bet the bike is fun. Would love to own one(mainly for work commute), but can't bring myself to trust other drivers enough. Especially here in Sac, sometime I lose hope in mankind on my work commutes.
