I had no problem out of either one until my dad took one apart to "fix" it because the seal was seeping. It never worked again.

Yeah, I have a low profile HF floor jack, too. I think it's a 2 or 2.5 ton version - can't remember. It has worked wonderfully for two years I've owned it.

Not lowered car friendly AT ALL. good for a second step jack though.

Dude, that jack is fine for any E36 even if it's sitting on its rotors with no wheels. Just gotta get real and buy an E36 jack pad.

+1, having that little gadget also lets you stick a stand under the same corner you're jacking up, makes lifting up the car so much easier.

I'm due for a new jack, I have an uber cheapo aluminum one that has been through 2 years of hell and its about done dealing with my ****. The arms actually flex when its under load and it doesn't feel like it has a lot of pressure left in it.

this is the first time this car has seen the inter webs. I'm the original owner and its taken quite some time and quite a bit of money to get her where she is. 1998 BMW 328is with an active autowerke super charger on top of everything else i can do other than boring the cylinders. be kind, she has been a large part of my life for nearly 15 years
