Lookin' good, Njohc. Looks to be in very good condition for the price.

And, if they weren't such a nightmare to maintain, I'd certainly own a 944. Great little drivers cars.

Thanks. Both have been on my list of things for quite some time. Except I want to match the lowers I think. I'm just starting to get to the exterior of it now.

The 944 has over 200k and the clutch is just starting to go. And it's a turbo at that. Sure surprised me!

Edit: Oops I meant to merge those last posts

Yeah, the 944s are quirky machines. They usually have lots of little issues, and when they do, prices for Porsche parts are astronomic.

Even better. It'll cost a ton more, though. 4 cans of black spray paint = $10. If you wanna get a decent color match, you'll probably need a spray gun, expensive paint and someone experienced in painting. I know there are some that have had luck with PaintScratch spray cans, but mine came out terrible (mostly due to the clearcoat in a can - made it hazy).

I was planning on trying paint scratch. It's brilliantrot (single stage), so Im just planning on layering it on thick to give me some polishing room. If it looks like crap, black always covers things up nicely!

Oh, your car was repainted in a single stage? Makes sense then. Funny that they used an e30 color instead of hellrot.

lol I've learned to always have a fall back plan when it comes to cosmetics... And no. Early red e36's were brillantrot. I dont think they phased in hellrot until '94. Even then, MugelloRot was still a single stage M3 color in '95 ... All I know is I never wish a SS red on anybody that cares about how their car looks. It oxidizes no matter what type of miracle sealant/wax you use.

It came with the wheels. The mirrors were thrown in as a deal with the lux m3 seats I put in it. Indicated 240k miles, but I dont believe it. I think the cluster was swapped. And even if it is, I've replaced every bit of suspension and cooling component on it except for the shocks and springs. That's only because it came with bilsteins and they seem to last for a while.

Hopefully I'll have an s50 lined up to go in it by the spring too
