My question is how you make these yellow or blue lights? Can I change my regular head light like this or new head lights are required to buy to make like this?

the blue hue in my car's high beams are just blue tinted H1 bulbs reflecting on the mirrored surface, and in joes car the high beam lenses are actually painted that color to give a yellowed french headlight effect.

You could wait for joe to chime in or just go on google and type in "how to french E36 headlights" and you'll find a bunch of DIY threads.

Looks nice. I'd get rid of the glare surround the the gas filler door, however.

Gonna be hard to tell unless you upload high resolution pictures (not from a camera phone). But it looks pretty nice.

Still trying to figure out how to get my paint done. The original plan was to get the body on the new car painted, then swap everything over. Now I'm thinking it'll be easier to swap everything over first, and get it painted afterwards. That way I don't have to worry about transportation to the body shop. Only downside is that I can't get the engine bay painted.

I don't have a paint booth or anything. I can do a rattle can job of the engine bay, but that's it. Then I would put the motor in and drive it to get the body painted.

I would need to tow it to a body shop if I wanted the engine bay done with the rest of the car.

depending on if i sell the 328 for an M3 in the future i'll probably get the 328 single stage sprayed with some rust repair.

It was actually a test of a prototype light I'm developing. On the market today, there is no specific light made for automotive shoots in the field. Most people use little LED lights or flash lights for light painting to get the streaks like I have. Some people use shop lights or portable work lamps, but all have their downfalls.

I'm currently developing a light that has all the advantages and none (or as little of the disadvantages) of current "DIY solutions" to automotive lighting.

Plans:
100% portable
Less than 4lbs
Battery or AC powered
Ambidextrous
Little to no heat
No hot spots (even, bright light)
5 hr + run time
Color adjustable (Daylight balanced, with colored options for artistic requirements)
100% Made in USA, quality parts
Reasonable price (Read: Not cheap china POS, but not "Studio" expensive)
100% USER replaceable parts, should a failure occur.

It's about 10% done right now, just in early development, but I plan to start selling it on the market in the next 1.5 years.
