The stitching was OK on my steering wheel but the leather was starting to show some wear so I bought and installed one of these.

How's it feel? Was it hard to do? Does the wheel feel thicker by alot?

I have the wheel the 328 had originally but the leather is junk. Thus could be a good way to salvage it...

May I suggest replacing that chrome trim and setting it on fire?, other than that it looks pretty good.

Did't think I'd ever see something to top Lola's color matched trim, I was wrong.

It just feels slightly thicker, but not objectionably soand it has a much better feel than the 15 year old sun hardened leather of the original. It wasn't hard to install, just time consuming to stitch it in place. Took about 2 hours, but I messed up going around one of the wheel spokes and had to unstitch and restitch about 1/3. The trick seems to be frequently checking the alignment of the three seams (the cover is made from 3 pieces of leather) and making certain they stay aligned.
For $17 I think it was a good deal.

$17 is pretty good. Not sure if I would want to install it, though...

Mein Auto: 1994 325i Convertible
Been lurking for the past month since I bought my '94 convertible. This is my first BMW experience and I must admit I am kicking myself for waiting so long. Sold my Jeep Wrangler which was fun, just never had a chance to put it in it's element on a regular basis. With my e36, I have fallen in love with driving again. Just can't wait until warmer weather so I can put the top down.

Car came with new top, new paint and new upholstery. 200k+ miles and the engine/transmission feel great. It only had a few minor problems. Since I bought it, I have replaced bushings, two tires, brake and clutch pedal switches, crash sensor relay, radio, fog lights and a few dash bulbs as well as reglued the door panels. You, know, the usual. This forum has been a huge help! Now if I can just fix that sagging glove box door! ;-)

Here is my pic.
