Don't listen to Franklyn. He'll tell you to cut lowering springs and run 195s

drop the car 3 inches.

and run 215 40 17 all around

and you wont need a spacer.

offsets are 20 right? your perfect with that.

After spacers i was at et 16 front and et 21 rear. which was perfect with a HUGE fcuking drop.

only differance is if you go lower you will need newer smaller tires.

how low do you really want to go?

Truthfully id sit the thing on the ground if I could.... Worried about camber issues when its dumped that much.. No fender rolling or anything if I go 215 40 17's all around or spacers This too easy to be true

I know camber isn't what kills tires the fastest (although it doesn't help), but don't you also go through a set of tires every 4 months or something? I don't know that I'd use your car as an example of successful alignment when low.

I'll take your word then... see how low I can go when it's all together. Just go from there after that I guess just wondering how low I'll have to go for the rims to clear the suspension

toe has been the arch nemesis of my front tires but negative camber is certainly what ails my rear tires, even wear on the outermost edge of the tread block, it got exponentially better when i raised the rear back up an inch.

Yeah, no doubt. You'll have more trouble when you try to lower it. 2 inches, you might be ok. If you want to tuck tire, I think you'll need 205s. I would go with 215s, though. No reason to neuter your car over a couple inches of low. Get tires and adjustable coils and go from there.

Thanks again

EDIT: Now that I read it again, going to a smaller spacer would result in less inside clearance and I might hit my springs from the coils? When I say reduction in spacer I'm talking less than 5mm drop in size. Would that net inward increase of ~6mm be enough to cause any issues?
if you can reach up over the top of the tire and fit your fingers in between the tire and the coil you can go down 5mm on your spacers for certain. If not it's a toss up as to whether you'll get rub or not.

This^ I could have run 215/40s without any rub on 17 x 8 ET20 Style 5's. I foolishly went with 225/45 and did the fender roll and pull thingy. I've got some Style 42's in work and I think they'll get 215/40 when I throw some rubber on them.

that's what i wanted to say. i don't see how those throwing stars that are painted purple are "track wheels" there are lighter stronger better suited wheels for track abuse than those.

I dont see how people run below 235/245s in rear and can drive "fun" at all. I have issues occasionally on dry pavement with 245's in rear, let alone in the rain (all over the place)
