However, his car needs some serious performance modes, inorder for the wheels to go nicely with everything else.

Remember that you will have to sacrifice the comfort of Touring springs (that you currently have), when you plan to upgrade to performance springs/shocks.

So the next step for you would be Sport springs. Amazing handling and balanced comfort.

Springs are about $250 and Shocks around $475. so i would say a heft check for $100 with Labor.

I recommend doing springs and shocks at the same time.
Stiffer springs need rigid shocks. Factory shocks would be too soft for sport springs.

Depending on the milage on your e46, your Rear shock bushings may have been torn already. Usually $90 to $120 a pair for new ones.

But the handling of the car on street and freeways is going to improve a heck lot.

think of your car as a high performance street car, after the upgrade.
You already have a powerful 6 cyl motor.

my car has 30k on the clock just hit it yea id definitely do both shocks and springs, i heard bilstine is really good? yea i dont like the handling of my car how it is now Im used to a really tight suspension with me sl500. i think my front CAB are torn it feels kind of weird

..... hope i dont get yelled at for bein in the e36 forum n being an e46

Yes, Bilsteins are certainly the best.

control arm bushing my front right one looked pretty torn when i looked at it last week, my father always but bilsteins on his cars so i figured they were the best!

Oh, ya, i have one torn trailing arm bushing right now.
Ya, get that replaced too, while you do the suspension.

If you are getting a new suspension for sure, than yeah.
If you are 50/50 on the suspension upgrade, get the bushing taken care of.
That is the best i could say.
If i had your car, i would go nuts. I would be around it 24/7, basically a dirt rag, fixing, cleaning, upgrading, all sort of stuff.

lol i baby her she is the love of my life lol im lookin for more upgrades body kit and engine mods thinking about a UUC exhaust, would it be good to get cold air intake?

Cold Air Intake, Hmmmm, Get the one with a long ass duct/pipe, curving down towards the foglight/brake ducts.

What you want is Cold Air. And that is the only place where cold air is available.

I see cars with the CAI, right inside the engine compartment.

Isn't that more like a Hot Air Intake? I would rather stick with stock than do that.

So yeah, get the one that really isolates itself from the Hot area.

And they cost a bit.

To be honest, do the CAI upgrade last.

yea i do see it in engine compartment im like wtf are you stupid lol o yea id definitely have it down by the fogs. i found a kit for about 1k and it has a reallllly long pipe to make sure you actually get cold air lol

1K is a lot. i mean a lot. for a few HP gain.

No, no engine mods. I have a K&N filter for stock airbox and a Sparco strutbrace under the hood.
I mean, what kinda mods would i do with a 4cyl?
so i have been saving money bits by bits and in a few months, i will have enough to do a 328 i motor swap.

I will be putting S52B28 Motor and Trans altogether, Differential, Drive shaft, Axles, Engine Brain and big brakes.

It is easy to find a crashed e36 here in so cal, i already know 2 junkyards who strip BMWs only.

I might as well end up buying a whole totaled car, since i will be needing bigger rear sub frame for a bigger differential.

My labor cost would be zero since a very close friend of mine has a shop, and i am a bit of a DIYer.

oo where is the closest BMW junkyard to you im in so cal too! how much of a difference does the strutbrace really make ?

It makes very very negligible to no difference on the street, under normal driving conditions.

But it makes big diff on the track since the chassis gets a complete shake down on the track and there is chassis flex due to extreme driving.

But i got that strut brace for dirt cheap, so i bolted it onto the strut mounts.

Closest to me is San Diego.
