1992 320i help needed
I have a number of faults with my 1992 320i which i would appreciate advice on if possible. Firstly I have a humming noise from the back of the car at all speeds and think it may be a wheel bearing. The noise remains the same whenever but gets slightly louder at speed. I am positive it is not the rear diff by the way.
Secondly my steering wheel feels very shaky at over 80mph and I occasionally need to top up the ATF fluid to prevent the steering wheel from making a rubbing noise when I turn it more than half a turn. I have been told that the ATF fluid could be leaking or the slave cylinder may need replacing etc. I would be grateful if anybody could give me their thoughts and experiences on these faults as I am having trouble diagnosing them. I am not able to fix the problems myself and dont know a lot about the mechanics of the car so it would be useful to have any background knowledge to use before I have it fixed. Thanks in advance.
