How much to replace camshaft position sensor

For anyone who has replaced a camshaft postion sensor how much did it cost you and if you have an idea what codes did you get??
I have p1523 and I dont know if it means I have to change the camshaft position sensor or some other major work.

They're about $100-110 for the part. Labor, not sure.. that depends who does it and what their rates are.

John Roberts - BMW of Dallas $317.34 with tax and labor on 3/23/2006. The thing is there are two, a front and rear sensor. I can't find my paperwork or I'd be able to tell you. I looked at my bank statement for the cost., so no detail. Sorry.

$285 for the Part and Labor. I think it was the Exhaust, but it may have been the intake...
