Test drove a 328i in Chicago!!!

I just test drove a 328i at Fields BMW in Northfield (Chicago)!! (No 335's yet)
Black, Automatic, Premium, Beige interior, Lt Poplar.

I loved the black exterior. (I think it was better than the silver I saw at HQ)
I didn't feel cramped driving (I'm ~6'1") and I fit in the back seat comfortably.

Traffic was pretty bad so I couldn't really open her up although 80 on the highway came pretty quickly. The car was very smooth and suprisingly quiet, maybe that's why I didn't notice the acceleration.

To answer a few questions I saw in earlier posts:
No, the rear windows do not open, and yes, there is an electrical outlet in the armrest right next to the auxillary (iPod) input.

Not that I didn't think it was a great ride, it was, and I understand that I may get some grief for saying this, but I'm glad I went with the 335, Manual, sports package, Premium, Black Dakota, Gray Poplar instead.
Sorry about the the $h!tt/ Razr pics attached, hope you enjoy them anyway.

I just looked at, but didn't drive, a car identical to the one you drove. I don't go for black cars so much but this car was stunning. Don't bother posting pictures because they can't do it justice. Walking back to my car I passed a line of E90s and I was struck by the contrast. The E90 looks like the E92s ugly sibling, and it makes me wonder if it was deliberately made to look frumpy for some reason. So much that is wrong with the E90 was made right with the E92.

I was able to drive a 328 at Knauz as well. They have a black/beige non-navi one. A lot of fun, I'm buying one for sure. I will say that I was a bit disappointed with the suspension, my E46 330i was tighter I think. And remember the suspension is the same amongst all the cars, there's no option of a sport suspension, they all have it.

I can't wait to see one in person. Some have commented the suspension is too stiff. Guess it really is subjective. Like I said- can't wait.
