order to delivery time?

So, i took the plunge and ordered an '07 550i, 6spd manual, sport, nav, logic7, sirius, cold, comfort access, fold dwn rear seats (I think that's all!), and am now impatiently awaiting its arrival.

I ordered it two weeks ago and on the owner's circle website, it now (as of thursday last week) states that my car is "scheduled for production". So i am wondering how long can I expect to wait for delivery?

Robbie

8 weeks is a good benchmark order-to-delivery. Longer rather than shorter from that. Your dealer will always have more current info than the website. Enjoy.

Thanks for the reply. I saw another similar thread, with a similar response.

This topic has been well discussed--suggest you do a search. Keep in mind that it isn't the time from ordering to delivery that's important, it's the time from production date to delivery that matters. And owners circle is pretty useless in terms of real time status.

Keep checking with your salesperson. They have more up to date info than is available on the web. Good Luck!

I ordered my 2007 530i in July 2006, and I am still waiting on my car. My vehicle was built during production week 36 with a completion date of September 12, 2006. It is now September 23, 2007 and it is still awaiting transport. It is killing me. My CA estimated that my car would be here in Virginia by the last week of September. I doubt that very much.

My production and delivery times are listed below. The waiting is the hardest part.

I know. I ordered 7.31. My new 530i was built 9.6. Scheduled on the Patriot to be in SC on 9.30. BUT Performance Center Delivery could not be scheduled until 10.23.

Just ask your CA to look it up on the DAR ( dealer activity report ).Once the production week is scheduled, it rarely changes, could move up a week, but rarely back.As it get's closer, the exact build day will show and you can almost figure one month from the build day till it shows up at your dealer, for anything on the West coast, add 2 weeks. The DAR is the most accurate
information for status reporting. Alll dealers are running this daily. The more you check, the longer the wait !

If your car went 150 status, I can reasonably assume that you have a first week October production, so you should now have a VIN number and your car is qued up to be assembled.

I think it wouldn't be too hard to think that you should have your car in your driveway before Thanksgiving or first half of November. Your car will be shipped to the Port of Charleston and distributed to the Vehicle Processing Center in SC. Then it will be released to a truck (enclosed, mind you). What color did you get?
