ED First Aid Kit - It's Like Folding a Map!
Am I the only mofo, or has anyone else who took ED tried to put the German first aid kit back in its holder?
Admittedly, I tried it at night, but it sure as heck seems like those dang maps--Once you undo 'em, you can't get them back. After 10 minutes of fumbling and sticking my head in the footwell, I STILL couldn't get the darn thing back into the holder under the passenger seat! What gives? Did the first aid box shrink while in transit? Ok, I admit this is somewhat of a stupid post, but wadda you do--cram it in? Regards, Double Digit IQ |

[/B][/QUOTE] Pretty much. First fold it up TIGHTLy, like you're squeezing the water out of it, then carefully shove it in.

I just know I'll have the same problems when the Touring gets in. I guess you have to do as Beauport describes, but personally I think the Rubex cube is easier to figure out!

I have a First Aid Kit on my 325i Sedan and 330CiC. They are different shaped plastic boxes in each car. BUT...the contents package for each does not fold up BEFORE you put it in the box. You slip the opened package into the bottom area of the box, and FOLD the rest into the top (like folding a letter). Feel the back of the box. The bottom area protrudes further than the top part.

First Aid Kit
This post is off the subject but relates to securing your first aid kit when leaving the Fatherland. I left my first aid kit and styrofoam hardtop support cube in my 330CIC when I left Munich and they disappeared before I claimed my vehicle at Concord BMW. Neither the dealer or BMWNA would replace either article and told me that I should have carried the first aid kit back in my luggage. I have purchased a USA first aid kit since and find the it doesn't allow for the closure of the passenger seat container much as the German model.
Next ED I will carry the first aid kit in my luggage. |
