What is a Yellow Transmission? HELP

I just bought a 2004 BMW X3 with 120000 miles on it. The transmission fluid has never been changed. I was going to put B&M trick shift transmission fluid in it, but was told that if it is a yellow transmission (how can I tell?) it should be replaced with ETL 7045. Can anyone help?

Read the label on the transmission and check out realoem.com and thectsc.com if it's a zf transmission you'll find your answer there. Get the code read if you have any error codes first. Don't use anything but zf fluid for zf transmissions.... No additives... If it's not slipping or shifting bad let it go to 150k before servicing

I took a close look and it is a blue transmission... I ordered ETL-7045E for replacement fluid. Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. This is a whole new type of vehicle, as I never gave it much thought: I used the B&M trick shift in all my cars. but apparently BMWs are finnicky!
