Side view mirror???
Dang mailboxes!
OK, daughter clipped a brick mailbox last night. How she didn't hit the side of the car, I have no idea. However, she managed to clip it with the passenger side view mirror. The mechanics are fine, but it the cover and mirror are toast. Can I just buy the replacement cover/mirror? And does anyone know where I can get just this vs buying a completly new mirror system? Thank you VERY much for any input in advance! Greg |

I had similar situation few weeks ago, and I couldn't find just mirror. So I guess you have to buy entire side mirror. And you should watch it on eBay. It's very easy to replace.

Re: Side view mirror???
If I was in your position I would start looking at junkyards and on craigslist for junked cars. Good luck

I was looking for a entire mirror to my 2009 528xi. Good heckin luck buddy. The cheapest on ebay is $400-$500 (mine was a full option: heated, fotochromatic, power folded, puddle light memory) Dealer will ask $650 for entire mirror
Craiglist does not have parts for E60 at all!! The main thing you have to go toward buying used mirror on ebay/craiglist etc is how many pins your mirror has? I meant how many wires/cables you have at the mirror's plug (inside the door) I bought mine in Europe. $150 used mirror in very good condition plus $50 shipping cost. $200 total and works!! America sucks for bimmer parts.... ![]() ![]() I think you may need only the mirror glass and the cover - that's it...

try Autozone, my brother actually picked up just the side mirror for his G35 there. Can't hurt to give them a call.

There is no chance that Autozone might have the mirror glass for 5 series bimmer...

A good glass shop can either reshape an automotive replacement or as I have done in the past, just have a piece of standard mirror stock cut and ground to shape. Take a tracing of another mirror if needed. If right side is a mirror image of left, trace it. Silicon sealer is a good adhesive or double stick tape if you trust it to stay.
