My First BMW
Hi Everyone!
I have been reading on this forum for weeks, now and your inputs and thoughts made my mind. Wanted 330xi with PP, SP but end up getting 330i with SP, Navigation, Xenon, and Heated seats. Good news I got mine for $1500 over invoice. Bed news I fill like my sales men is giving me runaround. Question: 1.How far advance you should order a car? (I am living for Europe on 03/27/03) 2.What do I do until January? (that’s when he will order a car) 3.Any news on bluetooth? |

Since such a warm welcome I have decided to get my own answers - ANSWERED.
1. Bmw prefers you order your vehicle 120-90 days in advance. (Called BMW ED) 2. Get the life – buy Nissan 3. Bluetooth - for those that care: Should have been inexpensive solution to mobile phone integration. But it does not looks that will be. Currently sold in Europe only (Germany $1200) it makes you wonder is it another cool toy or something that will need fixing later. My t68i works awesome with my laptop over Bluetooth and technology has potential. But for something that cost $15 dol. (Bluetooth chip) and takes three drunken Germans to install it it’s not worth $1200. Bluetooth in action: http://www.visteon.com/technology/au...e_modvid0.html I have such a great time asking and answering my own questions!!!! This is fun? Resources: MUNICH/COLOGNE, Germany, August 26, 2002 -- Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) has joined forces with BMW to create innovative electronic technologies for passenger cars. A prime example of the development partnership is Visteon's Wireless Interface Module based on Bluetooth™ technology for in-car mobile phone integration. The voice-controlled system will allow BMW drivers the wireless and hands-free use of mobile phones. This innovative technology will be on the market in September 2002 and the modules will be available as optional extras for all current BMW X5, BMW 3 Series and 5 Series cars. http://www.visteon.com/technology/au...e_modvid0.html
