side mirror folding

how do you fold the side mirrors on a 2006 750Li? do they fold in automatically? i don't see a button anywhere.

the manual seems to indicate that you should manually fold them to close them but i tried that a little and didn't want to force it.

also, do these mirrors fold up or fold in?

RVD.

The mirrors on the 750 is manual and they fold up and in. Try turning it up. I noticed that the M5 has auto folding. Interesting that BMW did not make it for the 7 series.

Almost every BMW has folding mirrors EXCEPT the 7-series. According to what I've heard, this is going to change for MY2007. Finally....

It is an option on the 750Li - option code SA430. I don't know if that option is available in the US. On my 325xiT, I installed the power folding option myself - there's some discussion of it here. A 7er is going to be more difficult and probably requires dealer coding which may not be available in the US.

I just received my MY2007 brochure yesterday and it does mention the power folding mirrors.
