I have been hydrating with lots of water and organic cherry juice and I'd say the pain is probably down to a 6 from an 8. Still hurts like hell to use my clutch and walking is a chore.

I know the feeling well, walking around on my heel or on the side of my foot to ease the pain. I'm just glad I'm not in your situation right now. Hopes for a quick recovery!

and add another year. I feel your pain. No gout for me, but I strained a muscle in my foot in December. Its taken until now to be able to walk normally for short times.

EDIT: when I joined this board, there didn't seem to be as many old guys. I guess time changes everything.
