Smile New Here... New To BMW... 2003 745i White w/ Black!

Greetings.

I am the proud owner of a "new to me" 2003 745i Alpine White w/ Black Leather (real hard to find) that I searched for about 3 months straight! I was VERY torn between this car and a 2003/2004 E55. In the end after much research on both (and the terrific warranty on the bimmer) the 7 was the clear winner.
It is compltely loaded and has 28k miles. I am a HUGE modder and have owned @ 10 cars in my 36 years. I always put my personal yet tasteful touch on all. Thus far I've added a K&N, factory chrome 19" 10-spoke, and 20% tint. Future plans: Borla, NavTV, Elemental Design: Subs - Comps - Amps, Bel Pro RX-65 (don't no where the hell I'm gonna mount it?) a drop and 22's (although not in such a hurry as the chrome stockers are quite nice).
I also have a HID fog-light kit and roof-spoiler on hand and Predator ICE eyes on order.
I am truly looking forward in gaining as much knowledge from fellow members and owners and I am already quite impressed overall with my 7.

~ Marcus

Small World!

Yes it is I! Small world LOL! Great to be here. I plan to have one of the "cleanest and most tastefully modded" 7s in DFW!

Thanks a lot! The contrast really is something soecial. Could as many of u possible please provide "mounting suggestions" for my detector? The windshield although excellent for blocking out the Sun also blocks readings from radar detectors! I am reading up high by the rearview mirror where the small clear spot is?

It is the Motorola CPT 9000 specifically made for the car. It just plugs right into the slot where the V60 goes and it apparrently draws power when plugged in. Now obviously your bluetooth compatible phone has to be charged itself and you're all good.
It works flawlessly.
By the way, I picked mine up for $200 from Morristown BMW in NJ.
I should have my Predator Ice Angel Eyes next week and I will then simultaneously install them along with my HID Fogs. Real hyped about this!

Put your detector down low between the speedometer pod and the navigation pod. there is an area there that is clear, but very difficult to see.

There used to be a 7-series FAQ around that had a picture of where to put it.

Good Luck.
