Thumbs up 2007 X5 driving impressions

I was in Chicago this past monday for the X5 ride & drive. We had a chance to drive it in a variety of situations, and also drive competitors back to back. Wow. What a great driving vehicle! The 4.8 was simply awesome, and the 3.0si was no slouch, on the autocross they stayed virtually flat during hard cornerning, steering feel was phenominal, you could provoke it into oversteer at the limit, but keep it easilt under control. On the offroad course, I became a true believer of the Xdrive awd system, even with the sports packages, the ability to search for traction, and keep the car moving forward was fantastic. On road driving was smooth and comfortable, you guys are going to love the new features that the I- drive has, some of which will make it's way to the 3 & 5 series as well. All in all, I was very impressed, especially when driven back to back against the competion.
