Actually, it's not a chip. It's a "piggy back" computer which intercepts signals to the car's stock ECU and changes the maps while the ECU "thinks" it's running the stock maps. Shiv Vishnu's Xede-only kit adds ~ 30HP/TQ, while his upcoming Xede/Exhaust kit adds ~ 60+HP/TQ! I'm getting the Xede-only kit; not interested in changing out the exhaust, and an additional 30HP/TQ is way more than enough on the 335i (which technically doesn't really need any engine modifications), imho.

Hey Thanks for the learning sesh ..i didnt know that. since you know alot about this stuff. what other modifications do you think will be available for the 335i...i mean you can supercharge it...right?

No bud you can't supercharge it it's already a twin turbo. It's one or the other don't be greedy

So far:
- Got the tint this week. Nice improvement
- OEM Alarm installed.

Future:

- E92 Clear side marker (when one is brought to market)

- 19" Style 230 Wheels (if they ever bring them state side)

- Clear Bra

what are the benefits of the OEM alarm?

my future mods will be -

smoke the side marker with some of that vinyl that is stuck on

19'' CSL wheels - sellin the oems off

ipod interface

(car comin next sunday!)

I'm gonna add the best future-mod of all time. Not sure when, but it will happen at some point...

I read over his stats and data. No offense to him and I'm humbly asking but, how reliable do you think that performance is? Is it much different in theory than a chip? I've read that Dinan himself said a chip for the 335i (plus intake) will only gain +2-3 hp.

What do you guys think of this mod? I really hope it is all it's boasting to be, but doesn't it sound a little too good to be true?

Also, when will this be ready for market so we can get some primary-source research and experience? I can't even imagine my 335i having another 40-75 hp. WOW!

I have not received the car yet. what i plan on doing (still researching, and need info) is:
1. M6 wheels, or maybe 20" Axis Shines - i dont know where to get the M6 wheels, and i dont know if 20" would fit on this thing
2. Pain grill/mesh to black
3. PROcede (if i can find a way to easily uninstall it when i want)
4. clear bra
5. tint (might go for ceramic so it doesnt look tinted too much)
6. might debadge it
7. make angel eyes xenon

I need info on all the items above. if you know of links please post away

Tint
Short throw shifter from BMP
Clutch delay valve removed
Debadged

I want:

Active Auto Performance Pack (BOV, Computer, Exhaust, and Tune)
A way to add comfort access to my car, PLEASE!!!

Just got my 2011 335Is tinted my windows and I should have my AFE cold air intake tomorrow. I can't wait to see how that sounds/feels. I am looking into a BOV and the Dinan engine management as well.

I wish this car came with a Big Brake Kid, would have been nice....I may get one in a year or so but for 6K I could do so much more to the performance which is what I really care about.

What percentage of tint do you have...just curious

The rear window and smaller side windows are all Limo tint (5%), the front 2 are 15%. I just took it in today to get fixed because on this car, the back window has those window designs I forgot what they are called, its that outline on all the windows which seep through even limo, so they are going to put this darker strip to cover the first 3-4 inches from the top on the rear window, then it will all blend in...its hard to explain what I am talking about on here so I hope it made sense...
