ISn't this the trim that was always on the European versions?

If so, it is very nice. I wish there was a version for sedans.

I saw it a few weeks ago, and I have to agree that it is awesome. I want it. With the car attached of course.

it's not solid metal, but it is a thin (VERY thin) layer

SoCal folks can see an example of the aluminum trim at Sterling. They have a 03 SMG black/black on the showroom floor. Deep swirl marks and ring scratches on the hood included at no additional charge.

Very nice. This trim was available in european M3s from the start-- why did it take them so long to put it on US M3s? I think I remember reading something about BMW getting parts of inconsistent quality from its supplier, but I'm not sure. The pics don't do it full justice-- in person it looks so much richer and nicer than other BMW trims.

That car is great looking. Do you have any pics full side view?
Is the exterior window trim black or chrome?
I'm really digging that aluminum trim with the black leather and SMG.

Anyone know how much the trim is from parts? Is there a 4-door set available?
