What's wrong with the ED forum?

All of a sudden normal threads are stickies?

Two of the threads are normal ED reports, plus the questionable Garmin Nuvi thread.

All in all, I say these new threads should not be sticky, and in addition, 11 sticky threads is way too many.

I can't believe BEE would do this... there must be something else going on here?

Explanation

Bee wanted to highlight interesting posts of trips so he moved one as a sticky.

I suggested to him that he label it as a ,,post of the week`` or something like that.

May be create a ED photo library sticky. Only photos and a small captions. Just for ED goers to get some destinations idea.

+1 ! Good Idea!
If some reports is interesting lest move this report to report of the week/month and after week replace with another interesting posting.

At least there's a reason!

I still say get rid of a few. We have too many, still 10 at the moment. The Garmin thread is really not very popular, it was just off the (ever shrinking) front page until a random post livens it up for a day or so... and the calendar should go too...

We are down to 9 now....

We'll see how the Garmin thread goes.... if it doesn't get much use I will then un-stuck the thread. The caledar thread is my charity to JS I leave it up there for a few more weeks.

While we are at it, perhaps we should dump that "shipping/ Re-Delivery links" thread

I'd vote for subforums rather than stickies for some of these things. I like the idea of a separate section for ED experiences--they're fun to read.

Edited to add: Since Beewang doesn't have the power to do this as a Moderator, could one of the admins consider doing this or giving him the power to create subforums?

I noticed on other forums new members are limited in what they can post.

Is it me, or does it seem that we are getting a lot of really stupid posts lately.

No one is searching, they just keep asking the same questions over and over and over...

And people are posting the in wrong forums, and posting crap like "what is the best way to launch my AT 335"....

Gosh, my sticky-stardom was so fleeting only having my ED sticky for one full day. I vote for un-stickying the "stick in the mud" thread on shipping/redelivery

I was wondering about those ED write up stickies. Certainly those of us who visit this board every few minutes wouldn't need them.
I was hoping to use the "shipping/redelivery" sticky one day though. I suppose I can always use the search function.
However, I would urge patience with those "stupid" posts. Just ignore them and they will slip into oblivion. All of us were noobs at one time.
