As a point of clarification, Herr Northcar means Dürnstein, not Bernstein although I am sure Leonard Bernstein once visited Dürnstein when he was near Vienna

Thanks for the correction. I see I missed the two hour rule to go back and edit. At least it looks like I got the name right on my other threads.

If you're referring to mine, thanks...and the camera is a Nikon D50 SLR with various lenses: macro and three zooms. If you're not referring to mine, well, you now know anyway.

This is my second ED but this time it was for my wife. We picked up her new 335I convertible with all of my extras

In March we picked up my 7 and I enjoyed it so much I changed my plans for our family vacation after I put my dealer on the line to deliver a 335i convertible on August 1st with two months notice which he did.

Our trip is half way done. We started on July 30th and should be in Munich on August 17 and fly back home to Florida on August 18th.

No details for now just a brief up to date stuff.

We picked up the car on the 1st. I knew the delivery procedure and so we were out of there in 45 minutes flat. We drove from Munich to Italy via Austria. Great drive when avoiding the highway.

By the next day we were on a Ferry from Bari, Italy to Greece. We had a cabin and we rested.

Arrived in Greece and traveled for 4 hours to Metoera. This is the place that has a monastery on the mountain built into it. They filmed the "For Your Eye's Only" James Bond film.

We stayed the night and then the next day we drove for 3 hours to Thessaloníki, Greece. We met with a long time friend of mine and stayed at his house for the night.

By the end of the day the next day we were on the Island of Skopelos. We stayed for three days.

Today I am looking at the Parthenon from my hotel window. We will be in Athens for three days.

Have pictures but will post more and a complete trip report for all. Just in case anyone is wondering on the miles. We just past 1,800

Jeffs try to create new ED map.
I was suggesting to use existing map of Munich with all ED POI and add some photos and new POI and photos from new places. I just don't know if this is possible.

Suggest calling up Munich on Google Earth with appropriate options checked.

I don't see the factory (for factory tour) on the map. Is it adjaccent to the delivery center?

No, check my pic - red circle - entrance for factory tour. Green - subway station.

I finally uploaded the video of the moment Sasha introduced me to my ultimate driving machine. (Please note: filming and trying to look at the same time was a little difficult so please excuse the video's shakiness.) Great video - no worries (but next time you bring a camera crew so they can film YOU while you can devote your entire attention to the process!)

nice car! it must have been a blast doing europe in a convertible. my next ED will probably be a porsche cab. i guess you have to pack light with convertibles, huh? not a w hole lot of storage room

Hans introduced me to the car 45 minutes after I arrived.They said it would be about 45 minutes when I arrived. We went over the car for about 45 minutes and then I headed towards exit 71 on the A9 and I missed it intentionally -- I was enjoying going 130. With my goal achieved I turned around and dropped the car off 30 minutes after I started it up.
No new bimmerfest book yet either, I turned back a few pages, found some empty space and signed.
