November 2006 3 Series Sales Report
Total 3 Series sales of 10,114 units were down 1.5% this month when compared to the 10,273 sold in November of last year. However, YTD sales of the 3 Series increased 11.1% when compared to the same 11 months of 2005.
By way of comparison, Mercedes Benz sold only 4,435 C Class units this month, down 8.7% from the 4,858 units sold last November. YTD sales of the C Class were down 11.5% for the first 11 months of 2006. November sales of the Lexus IS 250/350 were down 19.1% this month with sales of only 3,599 units compared to 4,447 last November. 2006 YTD sales of the IS 250/350 were up 332.3% when compared to the same period of 2005. In the US where only 2 engines have typically been offered at any point in time for E46 or E90 models, the smaller engined variants have typically outsold the larger engined variants by between 2 and 3 times. Why would you expect it to be any different for 328 vs 335 variants?
