are they removed by the dealer when inspected in north america or left on until you provide your plates when claiming the car? personally, i'll be putting up a fight if they keep them, i want my euro plates!

I took my front ED plate when I dropped the car off in Europe. When it arrived stateside, it still had the rear on. I am running the car with the euro plate right now before my permanent license plates arrive.

what do the cops think of that? chp gave me more than a headache with my ontario plates when i drove down there.
on a similar note, do the euro-plates ever expire? i gather that the plate follows the car until its demise...so does that mean a lifetime of swapping to the euro-plate when i have a craving for a ticket-immunity (actually, insurance increase immunity is what i'm after)? |

To partially answer your other question, I think the euro plates do have an expiration. Mine has a date clearly on it, and I think it's only good for 30 days or so. So the euro plates are purely cosmetic at this point here in Cali...but still a unique and fun reminder of my ED experience. Lansing |

if the cop only sees the car from behind (and can't see the paper tag in the frotnt), there's a good chance he might pull you over.

European Plates
My German plates were good for two months. I ran them in the USA until the temporary registration expired and it was necessary to install my new State plates.
