I mean i'll give u the unique 760 wheel design, the V-12 logos on the sides, the shiny black door pillar or watever its called that runs around the doors, and the slightly wider chrome grill with chrome slates......
until unless you sit inside where you can tell jus by touching the roof (suede headliner) that you are sitting in BMW's flagship......with full leather interior...etc etc.....and can recline at the back watching your fav movie while sipping on some drinks with your g/f as your chaffuer drives you through downtown after a lovely evening out..

Yep, the face-lift didn't make it easier to tell the V12 and V8 apart - even the 750- and 760-label almost look identical from a distance...the front is identical, too, so you can only judge from the side. It's a different story if you have the possibility to peak inside - telling them apart is easy then. But honestly, most of the time you are either in front or behind the car (and wheels can be changed, I just saw a 745Li with our wheels..), so you really got to be an expert to tell them apart - and if your not a BMW-expert or car-lover, you would never know what the difference on the badge between the 5 and the 6 means in the first place...

I got the habit to look for the V12-label - the fastest and, IMO, safest way to tell them apart..same with the S600...btw, talking about that car: One thing Mercedes has to be complimented for on that car is that it's a complete package - no extensive option-list!

I agree with what you said on the top....

however here in canada the 760Li also comes as a complete package with the rear climate control (including the cooler) as the only option you can get on a 760Li.
This has been the case ever since they introduced it in 2003..

The E65 still hasn't grown on me, the facelift has at least kept the vomit inside my mouth.

The new S class is pure sex with the right wheels.



To answer the OP go with the facelifted 750's.

The top e65 is really nice... Before I was about to buy the 750 that 760 was for sale, with the asking price of 150,000. I offered him 90K, now he is still selling it, over the past what? year and a half, with probably the asking price of below 90K.. It look unique.

To be correct, the Li's are E66. The Armored Versions are E67. The i's like mine are E65.

That's interesting - I always had the impression Canada would share the same market-idea as Germany (more options available but less standard features..). Learned something new today...

The reason I mentioned the S600 is that Mercedes made a 180°-turn on that one in the US when it comes to standard features. The previous S600 was not fully loaded - it was even more expensive when fully loaded than the new one...

The Hyundai Azera has the exact same leds tail lights as the BMW 745. I guess thats why BMW resigned them on the 750. If you guys never saw the Hyundai Azera just wait till you see the tail lights. I thought this was mod someone done. This comes stock on them.

They look similar at night with the tail lights on, but in the day time the azera looks ugly in the back.
A lot of companies (japanese, taiwanese, and german) have stolen the idea of the bangle butt and made it "their own" but now every car looks the same in the back.

To me, it looks like the S65 AMG, currently the best German car you can buy, right?
No question I would prefer this 604hp and - I guess - 738lb-ft torque monster over any 7-series BMW, but I don't know where I should keep my vomit after seeing the price-tag...Hey, I'm not saying this car isn't worth that much money, but comparing this beast to a car that only costs half would be, eh, a bit "unfair"...

I often look in the mirror and think a 5-series is approaching me just to find out that I was fooled by another Pontiac..

yeah that new S-class is very sexy but look at the price tag. Benz cars are always 3k-15k more than BWM's. I do know BMW will resign the 745/750 to destroy the new S-class. It happened in 2002. Now BMW has two more years to engineer the perfect vehicle. Does anyone agree??

The leds may be similar but the tail lights and the whole back end of the Azera makes you wanna...

Like the look of the 750's rear better than the 745's. Also the added features on the 750.

That is all new MB S class so comparing it to 5 year old 7 series design makes no sense.

The E65 is far better looking then the previous generation S class which used to look dated and old compared to the E65. As far as vomit comment goes I think you need to either improve your taste or wear new glasses

Call me bias but I think E65 7 series looks sweet.
