Wrong.

Given the latest iteration's dimensions and weight, the four door version makes more sense than the two door version.

Do tell: what's the point of buying a 3700 lb "sports car?" That's what we call a grand tourer. A grand tourer is as the name implies - a touring car; a car meant for travel and comfort. "Grand" simply means that it's larger or faster than a "regular" tourer (i.e. a production car like a basic 3 series). The M3 was, in fact, created to compete on the touring car circuit - and that was the original, 2750 lb E30 variant, which was far more of a "sports car" than the current models.

Bottom line: the M3 has four seats and a trunk, and it weighs as much as a bus. It's a GT. Not a sports car.
