745 door handle bulbs

I bought mines from China but I'm sure you can find them here in USA but way expensive...

My car only lights up on the driver side handles,is that how everyone's is or maybe the passenger sides at blown?i wanted to make sure before I take them apart?

I think you have to replace them....I'm working on how to remove the door panel and this lights....

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front door trim panel



Disconnect plug connection [1];

Unlock both catches [2]; and detach light guide [3];

Release screw [4];

Remove light module for outside door handle lighting [5];

Installation:

Catches [1]; of light module for outside door handle lighting [2]; must engage correctly when fiber optic guide is inserted.

Doesn't seem that difficult. I wish I had the correct LED's. I would have tried this when I retrofitted the power folding mirrors last weekend.

Has anyone finished this project puttin led bulbs on door handle yet???

Taking off the door panel isn't that difficult (make sure you disconnect the battery since you will disconnect the airbag in the door if you fully remove the door panel) I will do this once someone 100% confirms the bulb and let's us know which LED we can buy to do this. I would hate to take off the door only to find that the bulbs that were purchased don't work. I should have removed the bulb when I was doing the power folding mirrors retrofit. I'm really surprised no one has done this yet.

K I would luv to do this i brought the bulbs from china dat was mention in this post I have some free time this weekend I'm gonna try to attempt to do this..hope I brought the rite bulbs

I haven't done the project, but I did take my door off to see for myself what I was dealing with before I went out and bought bulbs.

1st - you do not need to remove the entire door panel. I disconnected the negative battery terminal just in case since there is an air bag in the door. I then removed the 5 screws in the door and then worked my way around unclipping the door from bottom right all the way around, but I did not remove the top clips. I left a 5 gallon bucket upside down just below the door just in case the panel were to fall. I then lay down on my back right under the door with my head near the end of the door near the steering wheel. If you tilt the door panel at an angle just enough (6-8 inches) you can see the light module. All you need to do is disconnect the cable from the bottom, disconnect the fiber from the top by pressing the 2 clips and then pulling up. Once the light module has been detached you can remove it altogether by using a ratchet with a torn 30 bit (might be 25 but pretty sure it was 30). Once the screw is removed just pull the light module away and it separates into two pieces. push down and twist and the bulb comes right out. The bulb was a 64113 12volt 10watt halogen. I believe it is also known as a BA9S, which was mentioned in this post. I just wanted to confirm for myself. I will now go out and buy the bulbs (either ultra white halogen or white LED on a BA9S base). I have included pictures so you can see for yourself.

I got my leds but they did not fit in the socket i couldn't twist them so they hold there. Im waiting for another set its on the way its pretty simple job. Just need right leds that will fit. Those connectors were tho big i think on the bulbs that i got. All my car has leds now. Doors ill i got left )

Which LED's did you get that didn't work so I don't buy them from eBay? which new ones did you order?

When you say the rest of your car are all LED's are you including your fog lights? My entire car except xenon headlights are LED including 6000k white turn signals. I ordered the 28-SMD LED H3 fogs on ebay but they didn't work. I turned off check control and hot and cold monitoring but they still didn't work. I didn't want to use resistors, so I will either wait or get ultra white halogen and call it a day. I never really use them anyway.

( rear turnt singnal bulb could be different on the face lift model as it might have different socket there maybe same bulb as the front turn signal) check ur bulb b4 buying the one i listed below

I use my figs all the time
The bulbs u got are ****ty as they will get too hot. And might melt.
But not sure why they didnt work for u. Halogen bulbs are not as white as they say. I used 3 sets and they are still yellowish.

For my rear turn signals i used same bulb but different connector ( these ones were tricky as they dont fit into ur oem rear turn signal socket. So i had to modify it a bit. Just make inside of the socket a bit bigger.( i can explain exactly what i did if anyone needs the info))

I replaced my front headlights after I bought the car since one of them was foggy and it was on the inside. So I bought the euro styled ones from Hella on eBay for $1,200 shipped (did the transaction outside of eBay and sold my old ones for around $800):

They use the PY21W with the 150 degree offset for the pins, so I got the ones below. No hyper flashing once I disabled the CC using NCS Expert.

For the rear a used the same bulbs, just don't remember if I had to get the ones with the 150 degree offset or not. Either way they were the same number and kind of LED's. Don't recall having to turn off the check control on the rear though.

When are you expecting the new bulbs? The old ones that didn't work, were they the ba9xs? If so they wouldn't work since they don't use the straight pins that the socket calls for. I found some bulbs that look like they should work, and they are sold near me so I could pick them up. They are $30 for all 4, but the guy doesn't want to lower the price if I pick them up which would save him the cost of eBay and PayPal fees as well as shipping costs. These are the bulbs:

Fist: how do u like ur new headlights? How was the fit? Hows the quality compares to ur oem headlights??? I was looking at them and thinking bout should i or should i not buy them as i bought lights for my nissan from them and they were okayish but plastic covers were made from crappy materials and after one winter whey were covered with rock chips. So whats ur feetback on them? Oh btw they dont have those corner parking bulbs right? Would you please take couple of pics of them?
Now: the door lights that i bought they also had straight pins exactly same position as oem bulbs BUT those pins were thicker/ fatter thats why when i pushed them down i couldnt twist them and lock them in place plus LED that is actually in it is not bright at all its crappy so i would order other ones anyways. Bulbs that u listed might work. Unless they have fatter pins and u wont be able to lock the bulb in place. There is no way u can mesure them its 50/50 chance. Im expecting bulbs sometimes by the mid of the month it all depends how fast shipping is going to be... Plus on the bulb u listed i dont like that plastic white ring. That could be a problem too. I mean they should fit but who knows. Wait till i get mine and ill tell u if its a go. Dont spend 30$ for 4 bulbs just yet.

Its weird as u said u disabled hot/cold for turn signals and hyper flashing went away hmmmm i always thought it depends on the voltage of the bulb. I sold my front signals to a friend for his Suzuki and they still hyper blink on his car. The rear ones didnt work at all maybe they werent all the way in or something.

The link that I sent you was for the non canbus version. They also sell a canbus version that looksidentical to the ones you ordered. They want $15.99 a pair. How the same ones from Hong Kong can be sold for $2.39 a pair including shipping is crazy. Might take a month to get them but $4.78 vs. $31.98 is a huge difference. Probably the same bulb just greedy sellers here in the US who probably buy them from Hong Kong anyway.

Thats exactly what it is lol . to make that bulb -costs 20cents im not paying 15$ for two small bulbs . 15$ is nothing , its all bout principle.
I get my bulbs in 2-3 weeks. And from usa it takes 2 weeks. There is no rush. Its not like i cant drive the car without them. I bought a loooooooot of led bulbs from different sellers different countries and for different $$$$$$$ and they are all same quality same everything. Some usa sellers charge 10 times more and send u the bulb in original package from china hahaha. So i figured thank you but no thank you. Handle leds dont need to be canbus error free

Well I got the bulbs to fit by sanding down the white part of the bulb that i got from china but they not bright at alI ordered the ones cccp suggested hopefully they are bright

As i said i cannot confirm proper fitment on the bulbs i ordered. Maybe u guys should wait a bit till i find the right bulb. I understand its really cheap and everything but why waisting time. Im 80% sure they will work as they dont have that white ring on them. Should be an easy fit. And they will be bright thats 100%

Too late CCCP. I ordered the ones that you did last night. I figured by ordering them it would stop me from doing something stupid like buying the $32 ones that I could get immediately. If they don't work for some reason they cost less than $5 shipped.

How do you like the LED fog lights you got? Are they bright enough or should I go HID? Any pics?
