I ordered the 3M Headlight restoration kit which im going to do over the weekend after that i will go back to doing my lights which will include putting 3000k fogs on and putting xenon reverse lights also.

So once i hopefully have the door handle bulbs out i will report back to you as to how i made them brighter, i might just stick in some smd pads in there lol

You say that the stock bulbs are a different offset than then BA9S bulbs. I know for a fact that the stock bulbs have straight pins. The bulbs that CCCP and I ordered (hopefully he can confirm since he received his already) are supposed to be straight pins with no offset. I believe their was another bulb that someone ordered that were BA9X or something like that. They have offset pins and won't work.

CCCP, can you confirm that the pins are straight with no offset?

The first thing i did when i bought my 7 last year was change the door handle lights which you guys are talking about.

But the ones i put on arent that powerfull as they are only 3 smd's on a ba9.

But the best way i figured out to make it brighter is by fitting bulbs which have more smd's on them or by buying ba9 cree bulbs which are meant to be really bright.

I still havent got around to changing the current white bulbs which i previously installed as being too dam lazy

But will try take some pictures tomorrow evening of the lights on the handle.

Also one advice is to be carefull with the fibre optic which emits the light from the pod to the handle is fragile.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Bimmer App
You can get different brightness levels by playing with the fiber optic cable at the top of the light module in the door. Movie it closer or farther away from the light source and you will see what I mean.

Tough to see in those pictures but looks pretty good. I'm sure it looks much better in petson, and that the pictures don't do it justice. How much for the material and install?

Can't wait to get my LEDs for the door handles. Hate seeing the yellowish color more each day. Hope we get to see them on your car before you go on vacation.

If you have the money and it makes you happy no one should have anything to say. Enjoy the new headliner and make sure you enforce the no smoking rule in the car. Lol
