Radio Code

Hello Everyone, Recently I purchased a 1991 525i and had to replace the battery, now I cannot get the radio to work without having to pay for a code from the dealer???????? Does anyone have an answer or can help me out? Thanks so much everyone.........Karen Pellegrini

This is the 1er forum. Would recommend going to the 5er forum for your particular car (i.e. E39 or E34 etc.).

I'm assuming you know how to remove the radio( to get the radio id #) and the only problem is getting the code. It should only take them one minute to get the code once you give them the radio id. You should be able to do this over the phone. If you dont have the radio id and need help removing the radio PM me.
And yes, J is correct this is the 1er forum try the E34 forum for better responses.
