Question Bluetooth nightmare - Samsung, Sprint, Texting

Hi everyone..

I have a Samsung A950 through Sprint, and a 2005 M3 Cabrio with the Bluetooth feature.

The phone pairs fine, I can hear the audio through the speakers, mic works great.

Basically whoever calls or texts gets auto dialed by my phone when my phone is connected to my car.

Now here's the nightmare part. Imagine talking with your bosses, and everytime a student texts you (every 5 minutes or so) it automatically cuts off the person you're talking with and starts calling the person who texted you. Also if someone else phones, cut off. It may cut them off, display both numbers on the phone, and goes to dead silence. Or better yet, someone leaves a voice mail, and the phone disconnects the caller you're on the call with (which happens to be my bosses a lot in my car), and auto dials your voice mail.

I can no longer explain to my clients that "my car just hung up on them" - they no longer believe it! I've searched the forums, the Internet in general, and I am not coming up with anything. The problem happens every single time, very consistent. The phone book isn't loading either. (It says "loading phonebook" but nothing appears in it)

Here's what I've done to troubleshoot:
1. Used this phone with other bluetooth devices. Problem not repeatable.
2. Tried other phones with my car, problem exists - isolating to the car.
3. Pairing and unpairing - no dice.
4. Update the phone's firmware

Any ideas?? It isn't on the Compatible List by BMW, but since all of the features work that seems to be irrelevant.

Dani

that does suck...and I can't help...

but I honestly think that to resolve most of our BT issues...would be to nail BMW about the problems...and to nail them on a regular basis...I would definetly start some kind of trouble call with them at least...

I believe that it's BMW's fault with all of the problems with BT...and not your phones or provider...as long as you have a reasonably newer phone...it should work IMO....

it's like owning a Zune....with an IPod car....BMW needs to conform IMO....to rant a bit further...the 6 disc changer is from 1990...needs to be able to read MP3...WMA...ETC...get with the times BMW....

Ill continue to do that.. I've hammered three deals, all of whom say "sorry nothing we can do" and "no one else is having that problem". Ridiculous! It has made the BT unusable.
