Convoy from riverside/MoVall/Corona area

Anybody From Riverside, Moreno Valley, or Corona interested in forming a convoy to Bimmerfest '07?
It will be my first time in my new car and it would be nice to have a large group. PLUS! I will have an in-car cameraman so it will allow for some pretty awesome shots on the way there.
Post your ideas on where to meet and what time to meet. since i dont know how to get there other than mapquest, i say to meet at BMW of riverside and leave from there.

Hey man, rather than meet at BMW riverside Dealership why not just meet at the Riverside plaza parkng lot. I figure if you meet there there would be more space to park?

acctually yeah, that is a good idea. but i dont know when the event officialy starts so im leaving hella early. i think if we had people meet around 5 that'll give an hour to gather and 3 to get there. but yeah, i'll tell my small group and try to get more to come.

Hey your actually like the 1st person that I've talked to in Riverside that has a M3. There is actually a meet down in Huntingtin Beach tomorrow at 2:00pm are you planning on going. Hit me up maybe we can convoy down there or better yet start organizing meet in the Riverside area. Let me know latz

Yeah, we usually meet up every year at Victoria Gardens. We have a regular IE contingent that rolls together. Keep your eye out for more info as the date gets closer.

For all who are interested in joining this convoy, We will be meeting at the Riverside Plaza @ 5:00am and will be leaving @ or before 6 depending on the turnout.
If avaliable, we will be parking along the street in front of the movie theatre where all the shops are and if that area is closed off we will meet in front of the new El Torito.
I recomend that everyone bring 2-ways and that you make sure you have directions printed out. Also, i ask that if you know anyone, friend, family, neighbor, etc... that drives a BMW or MINI, you should bring them along.

Are going to catch up the groups that will probably meet in Huntington Beach? If not, I'd like to join along. I'm from Lake Forest, but, will gladly drive to Riverside.

If there is any more info on the HB location, I'll be in Riverside. Last year was my first event...... Can't wait! It should be a good time. then .......

Just to bring this back towards the top. Everybody who will or maybe joining my caravan should e-mail me so i can get my Cell # out and so that i can give you a detailed explanation of our drive. Is anybody planning on leaving Friday instead of Saturday and enjoying a Friday evening in SB!

Updated Info. (Check Back Periodically):
We will be meeting at the Riverside Plaza In front of the Threatre (if that area is unavaliable then in front of El Torito at 5:00am and depending on turnout and number of straglers our departure time will be anywhere between 5:45am and 6:15am. Again, I recommend that everyone carry a 2-way and have printed mapquest directions from the plaza to the fairgrounds.

I look forward to seeing everybody and will post updates periodically.

Update 3.4.07:
Attention all caravan participants, I have just recently been chosen to have my car displayed in Adam's Polishes booth. therefore we will need to be in SB before the fairgrounds open. The caravan is still on however we may need to leave as early as 5:30am so I ask that everyone who is planning on joining us to make sure that they are not late. Also, it has come to my attention that the SB highway patrol will be looking for vehicles not displaying thier front plates, having discovered this I now ask that if your vehicle did not come with a front mount that you please display the plate in your front window. I appreciate everybodies cooperation and can't wait to meet everybody.

Remeber that Bimmerfest is only 62 days away. make sure that your calendars are marked and have a nice day

With just 58 days remaining till Bimmerfest I need to start preparing. The first thing on my agenda is to make up a list of Driver Names/Car Models/# Passengers.
If you are for sure Planning on joining us I need for you to post your name, what your car is, and how many, if any, passenger you will have. I also will need everyone to include thier e-mail addresses so that I can keep you upto date. I need everyone to get this info to me as soon as you can, Thank you!

I would like to tag along if possible. i live in the la puke area thats la puente . i own a 95 bimmer and i would like to get ready for bimmerfest i too do not know how to get there but im very good with a thomas guide . my /# 626 236-6303 give me a buzz my name is cary let me know...

Here is the route that we will be taking, If everything goes according to plan we should arrive at the showgrounds around 845. however, I have recieved word that a significatly large group of bimmers are merging together at the 101 and if we time it right we could catch up to it. From what I've heard there will be in upwards of 100+ cars in one huge caravan. Maneuvers
1:Start out going SOUTH on RIVERSIDE AVE toward SUNNYSIDE DR.
2:Turn RIGHT onto CENTRAL AVE.
3:Turn RIGHT onto VAN BUREN BLVD.
4:VAN BUREN BLVD becomes MISSION BLVD.
5:Merge onto CA-60 W via the ramp on the LEFT toward LOS ANGELES.
6:Merge onto CA-71 N via EXIT 29B toward POMONA.
7:Merge onto I-10 W toward LOS ANGELES.
8:I-10 W becomes US-101 N.
9:Take the exit toward LAS POSITAS RD.
10:Stay STRAIGHT to go onto CALLE REAL.

If you guys are meeting up with the LA caravan I'm down to join you guys as you pass the 60 FWY.THe only thing is I'll have to stand by at the 60 and the 15 and be in contact with someone this way I can hop on as you pass.

umm if you have a 2-way you can do that. I think were gunna use channel 4 so when we get close to the 60 we can shout at you. mine are 8 mile range so should be able to get you a decent warning when we get close.

sounds good but I would really like to meet with rest of the bunch in LA

well like i said before, i too want to meet with that group but theres no guarantee. were heading that way and will most likely meet them, but i have to get my car to adam's booth before opening.
