Want to thank the crew at Cutter Motors (Jon, Franco and Manny) for making the new car buying experience so painless. Back in August I placed a deposit an a 2003 325Ci...in Sterling Gray Metallic.

Whaaa...Sterling Gray isn't a standard 3-series color you say?!? No problem! Just leave it to Jon and Franco to handle all the special order details.

The four month wait ended today when I stopped by Cutter for the first time to pick the car up. The car was perfect...fully detailed, on the showroom floor with a big 'ol bow on the hood.

The drive back to San Diego was a blast. Oh yea, can't wait to install the M-Steering Wheel that Manny hooked me up with tomorrow...

What color interior did you choose? I am thinking about switching my 530 order from titanium silver to sterling grey, but the website only allows black leather with that exterior.

Ordered the car with the basics: Bi-Xenons, sport pack, moonroof and black leatherette. The M-Steering Wheel was installed yesterday along with Titanium Trim (off an M3).

How much does that cost for special order color?

Runs about $2k (compare to std metallic paint at $500)...
