Sixspeed's piece didn't appear to have these flaws. I'm hoping I end up with something similar to his. I stressed, as it sounds like you did as well, that I would be clearing it...and I had my paint guy call TCK directly... fingers crossed...

-BMS's exhaust sounds better, looks better, give you more HP and TQ, fits perfectly (unlike many SS systems), and uses higher quality materials. BMS's exhaust is not the "most bang for your buck", because I'm sure you can find some discounted exhaust for less. BMS's exhaust is the best quality exhaust you can buy for a Z4 M for the same price as the mediocre alternatives.
Supersprint is known for their near flawless fitment; I can attest their quality, ours fits perfectly.

-I've seen the exact opposite. But I've heard of your experience also.

It could be like UUC's products, which get rather polarized reviews, that the product design is sound but the quality control is poor. That would explain some products that fit great, and some that fit poorly.

I know of 2 personally that had to be tweaked to get the tips right. (mine included)
They weren't bad, but not perfect either.

Sorry guys, I totally forgot to give you the link to my SEMA thread with my pics (and one sound clip of the IS-F). There is also a link to a Chicas poll.

Pal, what about an update on your CF roof situation as well? I haven't taken delivery of mine yet, but am anxiously awaiting its arrival...(any day now)

BTW, just thought I'd mention that the last picture in Part 2 (of the black vette) is not a ZR1 prototype. Its the Pratt & Miller C6RS, commissed by Jay Leno, to be offered to the public as a complete car for $225K.

-Chris is working on something with another company, but no specific details yet. I'm still in shock that TCK would send such a POS part to a car they know specifically has done so much advertising for them. It just doesn't make any logical sense. I wish you luck, but will also be pissed if your roof is of the quality I requested

If you're going that route, have Chris look into producing a carbon fiber hood that retains the bulge lines of the original. I would have considered purchasing the TCK Hood as well if they hadn't flattened it out...

...and don't you mean you'll be happy for me if the roof shows up in good conidition?

Nope, 4 days shy of one month. The earliest I'll see it at this point is late next week, which would make the delivery time about 5 weeks.

No tracking number as of this AM, but was told TCK was going to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday.

Just dropped by to check up on here, and noticed your pics of the roof. Ouch. No idea why they've sent something like that out, when mine was nothing like that!?

Mine wasn't clear'd when I received it, but I had it done after. It came out looking perfect after that though. It's made up like yours, from 3 pieces of carbon, and there are lines where you can see they've joined. But the lines match up quite well with the creases in the roof, and you really don't notice them on the car. There's none of the weave imperfections in or around the joins, or elsewhere, like it looks in your pics...

Can't see how they can go from getting something near-on perfect, to *that*. Are they giving you your money back???

I've linked some hi-res pics of my car - they're not the best to show the roof in absolute detail, but the best I have to hand, and should give an idea of the quality of the panel.

Hi-ResPhoto 1

Hi-Res - Photo 2

Hi-Res - Probably the best example

Hi-Res - Good example of shine from the clear!

Dumb question about the CF roof- does the stock headliner bolt/clip back in or are you all not running w/o a headliner?

The headliner attaches to the roof support, so changing the panel amounts to removing 4 bolts and the sealant, reattaching and resealing.

Check this thread out. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...t=63368&page=2

The quick answer is "yes" the headliner clips back in. Unless, of course, you choose to leave it out...but that's a pretty raw look...

Been considering removing my 2.5i and Z4 badges. What did you use to get the badges off and remove the adhesive?
