Is there really no B-Pillar on this?

I know its still a concept, but the lack of it just looks odd.

Axeing pillars seems to be a pretty popular concept car theme these days. Most of them would likely not make it to production because I'd think it would be tough to get side-impact protection without a pillar of some sort, or maybe a transverse wall.

Yep, axing those b-pillars has been done, take a look at the 8 series, basically closest thing you can get to a convertible without it being a convertible.
