Want to replace Amber Lens on side of Headlight
Is it possible the replace the amber lens on the side of the headlights, or do I need to replace the whole headlight assembly ?
I was hoping I could get a clear lens for it. The picture on BAvarian Autosport's catalog on page 66 looks way COOL with the blue shade! But I don't see it listed. Is it street legal ?

To the best of my knowledge, the front headlight housing and corner marker is one piece. I may be wrong...

One piece. You need to order new ones with clear corners. I have heard of people being able to open up the assembly by heating them up in an oven and prying apart the clips or something of that nature. However, where you going to get the clear corners to begin with? Nowhere. There not made to be opened, therefore nobody sells the corners for the E39. I'm pretty sure somebody will chime in and correct me and has a solution but I went down this road once.

You will need to buy the complete assembly. These just came today !!! OEM Hella Euro with clear side markers....... Happy Birthday to me .............

If you don't want to spend the money, you can bake it like they said above, pull out the actual amber piece and spray paint it whatever color you like. I'm not really sure about legality on colors, so you'd have to check that part out.
