Smile bmw oem parts view

try realoem.com it'll show you just about every bimmer that's made from begining to current, basically the same illustrations that your local bmw dealer parts department let you view when you ask for parts at the counter (they flip the screen monitor towards you and asks "is that how it looks like?" it'll even show you the 11 digit bmw part nos. for reference.

Thermostat and expansion tank

I finally removed tube expansion tank from my 2000 BMW 323i. But I don't see the thermostat that I read about. Anybody knows what't going on? Can somebody show me some pictures after the expansion tank is out? Thanks a lot!

Are you talking about the trans thermostat at the bottom of the expansion tank? If your car has a manual transmission then you don't have one.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I figured. Strange thing is, there are so many posts, but no body has specifically mentioned that the manual shift model does not have a trans. thermostat. Maybe it's obvious to you guys? Thanks again.

I wouldn't say it's obvious, it's just one of those things you learn through experience, or asking, just as you did. Glad I could help.
