new window problem on my car

This happened twice on my coupe, but it happens during really cold weather:
When someone closes the passenger door, the window somehow manages to end get up past the glide, and is sticking out the glides on the coupe. . .but the part of the window that is out of the glide is 4 inches from the rear of the window. So i hear this clang of glass on metal when it happened. IT's scary, do you guys think its the window regulator going wierd? Im wondering somehow the door wasnt closed all the way and not hard enough, that the regulator pushed the window up prematurely making a part of the window outside the glide.

One more thing, now i got some scratches near the rear of the door on the chrome trim due to the window slamming against it. I should get it looked at near summer, when im assuming it will fail. The door has some clicks when i bring the window down.

I had to have a door lock actuator replaced on my old 330Ci and when I got the car back, they adjusted the window to close too high and it did the same thing . . . it ended up scratching my chrome window molding just like yours . . . I went back and they made a quick adjustment . . . it literally took the mechanic 1 or 2 minutes to adjust . . .

Just take it to the dealer and have them fix it . . .

My driver's door lock was only working once in a while so they had to replace the door lock actuator which is located in the door.
