Great point......so perhaps he should ask if we like the interior/exterior aesthetics of the new M3?

I'm debating what to do, e46 M3 Cab or maybe the new M3 Coupe on ED...
I sure like it and have the money to purchase one, my wife liked it too so that's a plus...

The new m3 is turd. They should not have made such a drastic change to it. Why change a winning formulae. Look at Porsche 911's the smallest changes can keep the car evolving over the years.
im keeping my e46 M3 Last edited by SLICKSTER786; 03-30-2007 at 05:12 AM. |

No. But as mentioned above, I really need to drive it and see it live. Photos can be deceptive.
The look is too "integrated" across the product line. I know BMW makes a conscious effort to achieve that but I prefer a more predatory look in a sporting vehicles. If I wanted subtle there would always be the M5. In photos, it shares too much with my e90. Of course the power bulge looks like an absurd tumorous growth under the skin. Was this designed by too big a committee? A high-output V8 is ho-hum to me. It is unclear to me why they couldn't have massaged the 335's engine, including forged internals and larger turbos, for higher output while meeting emissions. Or else lightened their V10 for duty in a smaller car. At the end of the day the engine might work out just fine. I'm just peculiar about preferring uniqueness over ubiquitous, regardless of function. For what it is worth, a few friends and I prefer the Ford GT's supercharged engine over the Ferrari Challenge Stradale's singing V8 that one acquaintance owns (similar on paper to the BMW engine). |

I like the engine - on paper. It's nothing fantastic, but it's a solid effort.
The rest of it, not so much.
